It took Woolroom more than 12 years to develop the perfect process so you can confidently wash your Chatsworth and Organic Washable bedding time and time again without fear of felting or shrinking. We are so confident in these products that we do not need to use any synthetic layers, which diminish the ability to regulate temperature.

Wool ID Traceability Woolroom has developed its own traceability program, tracking its wool from the finest UK farms through to the finished product, as well as every stage of the manufacturing process. This makes sure that there is no blending or mixing in of poorer fibre types or qualities, meaning every product uses the perfect wool type to ensure the perfect product arrives in your home.

The right breed, for the right need We are experts in wool, and hand select the most appropriate wool for its use. Staple length (the length of the fiber) and micron (the thickness of the fiber) are critical when making the perfect bedding. Our bedding uses a shorter staple length but needs a thicker (but not too coarse) micron to ensure good bulk and insulation.

Natural, reusable packaging As a business, we do the right thing. For years we continually strive to eliminate all plastic, and therefore use natural packaging in our entire bedding collection. Since 2008, we have used natural calico packaging for our bedding and continue to do so, asking our customers to find alternative uses for our bags.

Why does my Comforter have a sheepy scent? The Machine Washable Deluxe Wool Comforter range is entirely natural. All our wool is double-scoured. However, with this being a natural product enclosed in packaging, there can sometimes be a sheepy scent upon initial opening.

How do I get rid of that scent?
This will subside within a few hours of opening up your packaging, and airing the product before use will speed up this process.

Can I wash this duvet?
Wool is self-clean, so no frequent washing needed. Air comforter outside for freshness! For washing, machine wash on wool/delicate cycle at 30°C with wool detergent, spin under 800RPM, line dry. Avoid tumble dry.

Are wool Duvets better than down? Adoring wool, nature's miracle. Woolroom duvets offer 67% superior moisture management and heat regulation vs. feather/down, and 48% vs. polyester. Our duvet pampers providing lavish comfort while ensuring warmth in winter and coolness in summer.
